How to customize the Android 7.0 Nougat shortcuts
Android 7.0 Nougat has a feature that allows you to customize system quick buttons – shortcuts that enable some smartphone functions with agility. With the customization option, you can delete unneeded items to clear the interface or add buttons that you use most on a day-to-day basis.
Learn, in the following tutorial, the step-by-step how to edit shortcuts in Android N without manufacturer modifications. This version of the software is found on Nexus line phones as well as on Motorola / Lenovo phones such as Moto G 4, Moto G 4 Plus, Moto Z and Moto Z Play.
Step 1. From the Android home screen, swipe your finger from top to bottom for the most important shortcuts, and then tap the tip arrow to expand the curtain. Then go to “Edit.”
Step 2. At the bottom of the screen, you will see the shortcuts that are currently inactive, with space to disable other items if desired. To do this, just tap and hold on one of the shortcuts and move them to the bottom.
Step 3. It is possible to do the inverse by taking up free space between the active buttons with other available options. To do this, simply touch the desired option and drag up.
Step 4. Among the active buttons, it is also simple to change any position button. To do this, use the same hold and release mechanism. At the end of the edit, touch the arrow in the upper left corner to return to your shortcut curtain.
The feature already existed in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but required a trick to be enabled. This time, any user can access it easily with one touch. The procedure can be repeated as many times as the user wishes, without prejudice to the operation of the smartphone.
