The PS4 is a device that runs games with great graphic quality, which always requires a lot of its processing and the boards. Because of this, it can constantly heat up, and the internal cooling system is not always enough to solve the problem. Here are tips to take care of and avoid warming up your console:

Leave space

Always leave some space between the PS4 and a wall or surface that can plug your air outlet – which is in the back. It is indicated to have at least 30 centimeters of space so that the console can “breathe” properly.
So it’s always good to avoid keeping the PS4 on shelves or cabinets that have the back enclosed. Keep it in a well-ventilated place so that the internal cooler can work properly.

Try to leave on the surface that does not heat

The PS4 heats up by itself. Even with the built-in cooler, and even in ventilated places, it still gets hot while you’re playing a game, especially those more beautiful and heavy. So try to keep it on surfaces that do not attract so much heat.
Marble, for example, is known to dissipate heat. Already a surface in wood is not so well indicated. The idea is that, in addition to the heat of the video game, the place where it is does not help to accumulate more.

Clean as often as possible

Cleaning up the PS4 is always a good idea. To do this, do at least the basics: wipe a cloth that does not scratch across its surface to remove dust, which also helps to accumulate heat.
If you prefer, use a small cotton swab on end to clean the air vents on the back of the console. Finally, if you have the technical knowledge, it is always a good idea to open the enclosure to remove dust from inside the unit – but this option is only recommended for those who are more experienced with the subject.

Play in a chilled environment

Whether the country is warmer or colder, if possible, try to install the console in a well-chilled location in the house.
Ideally, it should be in the same place where there is air conditioning installed. If this is not possible, leave it in the airiest room in the house. In no case let the PS4 get sun coming through the window. Otherwise, in addition to being able to ruin the video game in the long term, it contributes, a lot, to its heating
