Freelance photographer Adam Baidawi recently explored North Korea, capturing these beautiful images and showcasing what life is really like in the secretive nation. "I think the thing that would surprise people the most is how mundane some things are," Baidawi told Elsewhere. "I say that because, over time, we've all conjured a messy, menacing image of the people of North Korea – we tend to dehumanise them, forget them, or tar them with the same brush as their leader. In reality, people are people."
