The Basenji originally came from central Africa and was bred to be a hunting dog. This breed can live for about 16 years and about 25lbs for males. The Basanji is very playful, energetic, alert and affectionate. I have a feeling this is a lap dog, one that would love to sit up on your lap while you watch tv and he wants his back scratched!
