This isn't your average wedding. Folarin Alakija, the son of Nigerian oil billionaire Folorunso Alakija married Iranian model Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar during what was an extremely opulent ceremony — one that had the price tag of about $6.3 million. The groom's mother, Folorunso Alakija, serves as the vice chair of Famfa Oil, a Nigerian oil company, and is considered one of the richest African women in the world, with a net worth of about $1.68 billion. Of course, no expense was spared during her son's nuptials, and these photos prove just that. The nuptials took place Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England, which happens to be the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Guests included supermodel Shanina Shaik, along with fashion vlogger and blogger Temi Otedola. The expansive venue was adorned with one million white roses, curated by celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, who's engaged to American actor Colton Haynes. The arrangements — ranging from hanging installations to full flower walls — were absolutely gorgeous, to say the least.
