The yearly average in southern Siberia is 0 degrees C and in north-central Siberia –9 degrees C. The Pacific port of Vladivostok averages 5 degrees C. The precipitation in most areas is low to moderate. Mountains in the northwest receive as much as 2,000 millimeters annually, and points on the Pacific Coast receive as much as 1,000 millimeters.
