A Beautiful Mind The story of the brilliant mathematician-economist John Nash. It is the story how his wife Alicia Larde helps him fight his demons as a paranoid schizophrenic. She offers him unconditional love and support and he goes on to win the Nobel Prize in economics for his concept of Nash equilibrium. Alicia has to deal with more issues than his mental illness. Nash had homosexual affairs secretly and also fathered a child with a nurse while dating Alicia. Despite Nash’s l lifestyle, Alicia and Nash married in 1957. Alicia gave birth to a son in 1959 who suffers from episodic schizophrenia. The couple divorced in 1963 but they got together again in 1970.
