The town of Capracotta in Southern Italy is reporting that they received 100 inches of snow in 18 hours on March 5th, 2015.  What’s crazy is that Capracotta, Italy isn’t even in the Alps – it’s in Southern Italy.  The town sits at only 4,662-feet and has been known to receive enormous one day snowfalls.  The town is home to about 1,000 residents.
