The Boeing E-3 Sentry is also known as AWACS, or the Airborne Warning and Control System. This monstrosity is used to provide weather surveillance, and it is used by the United States Air Force, NATO, Royal Air Force, French Air Force, and the Royal Saudi Air Force. It looks like a normal plane until you get to the giant rotating radar dome above the plane. The unit cost about $270 million to make, and there are only 68 of them around the world.
