This is, of course, the perfect way to keep the masses under control. Despite starvation, mass cruelty and all kinds of other awful conditions, it is hard for any real resistance to take hold when people believe they would actually be rebelling against God himself. While this may not hold up forever if conditions in North Korea get bad enough, right now there doesn’t seem to be any attempt at rebellion despite most of the population being stuck in horrendous conditions.
