Football fans’ enthusiasm in Red Square, Moscow

As we near the opening match of football's grandest celebration on Thursday, fans are beginning to arrive in enthusiastic droves in Moscow. The centre of Moscow is filled with colour from supporters of nations as diverse as Peru, Iran, Egypt and Argentina. National flags draped over shoulders filled began filling Red Square this week. Football fever Samir Alhafith, an Australia fan, said Moscow was beginning to be gripped by football fever.
