Abbas Amir Entezam, 'Longest-Serving Political Prisoner', Dies at 86

Over the course of the evening, the remaining executives of the National Resistance Movement decided to write a letter addressed to Richard Nixon, then the vice president of the Eisenhower administration, who would be traveling to Iran in a few days. The purpose of the letter was to disclose the Iranian political activists’ objections regarding the United States government’s policies against Mosadegh’s popular government and the the Iranian government’s repression of the National Front.
