In aftermath of the 1953 coup, Amir-Entezam found that the closed political atmosphere limited the activities of activists like him. During the sixties, he traveled to Paris for one year and then to the United States, where he received his master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1967. He began working as an engineer and then returned to Iran three years later and established a construction engineering company in the 1970s.
