Amir-Entezam’s relationship with Bazargan allowed him to gain access to the cabal of Mossadegh supporters working in the resistance movement. In the aftermath of the coup, Mossadegh’s supporters had seen their activities restricted and ultimately banned by the government. Due to those limitations, they had founded the Iranian National Resistance Movement. With Bazargan’s recommendation, 21-year-old Amir-Entezam became a member of this group and quickly ascended to its executive council.
