The Most Disturbing Human Experiments in History

The experiment was to find out how the body reacted in freezing temperatures and to assess different methods for rewarming the body. Prisoners were left naked in the open air for hours at -6 °C (21 °F). Others were dressed in fighter pilot uniforms and submerged in freezing water.To try and find the best way to rewarm the bodies some prisoners were thrown into boiling water.Approximately 100 people died as a result of the experiments.
