U.S. immigration authorities ordered this famous artist, singer, and musician of the Beatles to be deported in 1973. At the time, they claimed the reason was a 1968 conviction in England for marijuana possession. However, later it was revealed it stemmed from Nixon’s fear of Lennon’s political views and influence.
