These technicolor rainbow mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China and are the result of red sandstone and mineral deposits being laid down over 24 million years.The rainbow mountains’ formations were shaped after thousands of years of rain and wind. They are in fact so incredible that the site has even been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010.
