Marcel Petiot was a doctor in Nazi-occupied France. He would tell his victims, people fleeing the Nazis in Europe, that he had an escape route out of Nazi territory, before injecting them with deadly cyanide and stealing their valuables. He was captured and eventually tried and executed by guillotine in France in 1946.
