According to a new survey, the average man is an excellent listener who can concentrate for ages while being addressed on a wide range of topics. Unfortunately this is only the case when the person talking to him is a male friend and the conversation is about sport, cars, and what used to be referred to as “birds”. When the person doing the talking is a woman who he is in a relationship with, however, things all go a bit Cheech and Chong. Listening to the lady in his life is something a man can only manage for six minutes before his mind breaks free from its mooring and drifts dreamily away.
