Insomnia
Scientists found that insomnia can be caused not only by psychological issues but also by genetic ones. They also discovered a strong genetic overlap with other traits such as anxiety disorders, depression, and neuroticism. These characteristics tend to go hand in hand with insomnia and this is partly due to their shared genetic basis.Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling and/or staying asleep. People with insomnia have one or more of the following symptoms: Difficulty falling asleep. Waking up often during the night and having trouble going back to sleep.
Preventive measures:
- Don’t go to bed with negative thoughts on your mind.
- Don’t drink coffee, smoke, or eat heavy foods at the end of the day.
- Don’t do physical exercise late in the evening. It’s better to finish all physical activity 4 hours before going to bed.
