Huntington’s disease is a very serious disorder that can be genetically passed from mother to child. In Huntington’s disease, the nervous system breaks down slowly over time. As a result, the brain deteriorates and motor functions, as well as mental functions break down. There is not a cure as of now, though much research is being done to investigate a cure. It is usually passed on maternally though fathers can also play a role in the genetic makeup of the disease itself.
