Putin's girls: Who are the daughters of the Russian president

His eldest daughter, Maria Vorontsova, also known as Masha, is a medical researcher and lives in Moscow with her Dutch husband, Jorrit Faassen.
In his televised speech on February 23, 2022, President Putin announced Russia would be partaking in a "special military operation" whose "goal is to protect people who have been abused by the genocide of the Kyiv regime for eight years." What Putin claims to want is a "demilitarization and de-Nazification of Ukraine, as well as bringing to justice those who committed numerous bloody crimes against civilians".
