Mass production has proven to be a double-edged sword in the auto industry. On one hand, it has improved vehicle production numbers significantly, which improves variety and brings costs down.On the other hand, it has led to the creation of cars with no character at all. Cars built in large factories where robots and computers do all the work lack the human touch that makes classic cars so awesome. This is why manufacturers that still build their cars by hand — such as Rolls-Royce — are considered to be a class above the rest.
