What If the Earth Was Flat?

Since on a flat Earth, gravity would exert its force towards the center of the Earth’s plane, the rain would fall sideways, in the direction of the center. The farther we were from that point, the more sideways we would have to tilt the umbrellas. Only at the center of the plane rain would fall as we know it, vertically.
