Arrest made in assault of Elnaz Hajtamiri, Canada-wide warrant issued for 2nd man

They fled with Hajtamiri in what is believed to be a white 2016-2022 model Lexus RX sport utility vehicle. OPP investigators have linked the abduction with an assault on Hajtamiri that occurred in Richmond Hill on December 20, 2021. According to the CBC, before the December 20 attack, Hajtamiri discovered two illegal tracking devices underneath her Lexus by workers at a dealership when the car was in for service.
