Unlike other fashion types, you don’t have to design specifically for a certain season and you can develop constantly (or sporadically) as you choose. The “regular” fashion world designs at least 4x a year (I had a position where I was responsible for designing 6 collections a year for 5 different accounts!) In Bridal, many companies design 2 collections a year. As a custom bridal designer, you can choose how many times a year you want to design. Some custom designers develop samples continuously throughout the year, others develop 2x a year, and still others develop once a year. It’s up to you how you’d like to run your business.
