Iran shuts border to Iraq due to overflow of pilgrims for Arbaeen

The government is spending hundreds of millions of dollars and huge resources, critics say, to sponsor the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Karbala, the largest annual gathering in the world, to show its Shia ideology is influential both domestically and in the region.
