How does an actor land a role?

Once the Casting Director has created breakdowns for each character, they must now identify potential actors for each part. They will often communicate with the Director who may have a list of actors that they would like to bring in to audition. If the Casting Director has initial ideas for actors to play certain parts, they will directly contact their agents asking them to audition for the part.
