Spread over more than 100 islands linked by canals and bridges, Venice is arguably the most romantic Italian city. The Grand Canal, Doge’s Palace, and St Mark’s Square and Basilica are the highlights here, but there’s much more to see besides. You can take a private tour through the bacari — canal-side bars that serve aperitivi and cicchetti, the Venetian version of tapas. For something a bit more energetic, we’ll arrange a lesson on the city’s distinctive rowing style, developed by gondoliers.
