Who is German-Iranian political dissident Jamshid Sharmahd

German-Iranian political dissident, Jamshid Sharmahd, is at risk of execution after being sentenced to death for “corruption on earth” (efsad-e fel-arz) following a grossly unfair trial. Since July 2020, the Iranian authorities have been subjecting him to enforced disappearance, torture and other ill-treatment including through prolonged solitary confinement and denial of adequate healthcare.
