This includes presenting a valid passport at the border and confirmation of identity. “An international traveller’s identity is verified through our Smartgates or manually both on departure and on arrival. If a positive identification is not provided by the Smartgates, they are referred to an ABF officer for further assessment and verification. “Identity verification is simpler and quicker if the passport contains an up to date photograph of the traveller.”
