“Democracy is under threat around the world. Now is the time to turn our backs on accommodation and appeasement,” she said. “These regimes have been emboldened as the free world has not done enough. I will never give up hope for a free and democratic Iran,” vowed the former British prime minister.
Led by women and the educated youth, massive anti-government protests have been held in recent months across Iran against the oppressive ayatollah rule. The regime forces have reportedly already killed hundreds of civilians, including women and children.
