According to the CDC, only about 23.2% of people in the U.S. meet the Physical Activity Guidelines for aerobics and muscle-strengthening activities, there’s a lot you can do. If you’ve ever toured a gym, then you know that cardio exercise areas are usually off to one side and the weight lifting area is in another section. The weight training section is gender-neutral. It will include mirrors, padded floors, towels and bottled water or a water fountain. Men’s and women’s locker rooms and bathrooms are usually located nearby. The area will also have several types of free weights and weight lifting equipment. The equipment might include leg extensions and other huge devices like lat pulldown machines. Hence, it can look intimidating at first especially if you don’t know how to use strength training equipment.
