Judgments can be either positive or negative; in either case, you’re assuming you know the full situation and the reasons behind someone’s behavior. Often when we pass judgment on others, we conclude that the person is always going to be that way. You might think someone is wrong, but you’re the one making the situation problematic. Your judgments might also be rooted in your own insecurities. Next time you catch yourself making a judgment about others, turn it into an opportunity for introspection.
