As per the data maintained by the global Gerontology Research Group, out of the 43 people in the world who’ve made it past the age of 110 years, 42 are women. Philosophically speaking, the blessings we seek for our efforts and sincerity as a mother, a wife, a homemaker, a breadwinner, and what not—may have a part to play in our longevity. But, scientifically speaking, women tend to live longer than men due to a “complex interaction of biological, environmental and social factors” as per a study published in the journal Proceedings of National Academy of the United States of America.
