Taking to Instagram, risinglifters, a page dedicated to young bodybuilders, posted a carousel of photo and video snippets. The first post is a picture of the young natural bodybuilder, with the caption, “This 19-year-old is in the best shape of his life with a paralyzed arm.” The second and third videos are reposts from Schop’s Instagram page, ‘jacksonthecripple’. In the snippet, Schop is detailing his ordeal. He said, “When I got out of the hospital, and came to the realization my arm isn’t coming back… I felt hopeless. I quickly realized I could either play the victim or go after it. Don’t let obstacles bring you down. Let them bring you up instead. You are capable of more than you know."
