When a pilot has to eject from an aircraft, it is a harrowing experience. The ejection seat is designed to get the pilot out of the aircraft as quickly as possible, and it does so with a lot of force. The pilot is subjected to G-forces that can be up to 12 times the force of gravity, and this can cause serious injuries. Even if the pilot survives the ejection, it is not always clear if they will be able to fly again. There are a number of factors that will determine if a pilot can fly again after ejecting.
