The daughter of Ruhollah Zam, the journalist executed on December 12, has talked publicly about the last conversation she had with her father. In an audio file posted on her grandfather's Instagram page, Niaz Zam said her father told her on the phone: “Many things may have happened, but whatever you do, stick to your studies!" He also asked his daughter to take care of her mother and sister. Ruhollah Zam called his daughter, who is based in France, on December 12 at about 4am Iranian time, close to the time of the morning call to prayer, and spoke of "meeting on the Day of Judgment.
