Bin Salman's moves to restrict Ramadan

King Salman has authorized Ramadan assistance worth more SR3 billion ($800 million) to Saudi social security beneficiaries, with each head of a family receiving SR1,000 and each family member receiving SR500. The funds were deposited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts on Wednesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Widows, orphans, the unemployed, as well as elderly and disabled people, are among those who receive Saudi government social welfare payments.
