Freight Train Derailed in Turkey

The locomotive of the freight train overturned due to the dent in the retaining wall in Yahşihan district of Kırıkkale, and 2 drivers were slightly injured. On February 2, 2024, a freight train derailed in Kırıkkale. The incident took place in Kılıçlar village, Yahşihan district. The retaining wall on the Ankara-Kırıkkale railway line collapsed onto the rails. Meanwhile, the locomotive of the freight train traveling on the line overturned and 3 wagons were derailed. According to initial findings, 2 mechanics were slightly injured in the accident.
