The injured went to the hospital with their own means. Gendarmerie and Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams started working to put the derailed wagons back on the rails. Although the cause of the accident is not exactly known, it is estimated that the collapse of the retaining wall was caused by excessive rainfall. In the statement made by TCDD, it was stated that train services were disrupted. It was reported that the flights will return to normal after the teams' work is completed. An investigation into the accident was initiated.
