Pardis Afkari, a film and television actor, died of liver cancer at the age of 60. On Thursday, Mohammad Najafi, the husband of Mrs. Afkari, said that his wife's condition worsened "in a short period of time", and told ISNA news agency: "Less than a week has passed since the diagnosis of my wife's illness until today. "Unfortunately, this disease was hidden and we did not notice it at all." Mr. Najafi further said that the cancer "quickly took the entire liver and spread to a part of the lung." However, the sister of this movie actor announced to the Islamic Republic News Agency, IRNA, that Fardis Afkari was taken to the hospital 10 days ago.
