In addition to the Haft-Seen table, other traditions and rituals are observed during Nowruz. Families gather together to celebrate with special foods, music, and dancing. There are also public events such as parades, concerts, and outdoor gatherings that bring communities together to mark the occasion. One of the most anticipated parts of Nowruz is the Chaharshanbe Suri, or Red Wednesday, which takes place on the eve of the last Wednesday before Nowruz. This event involves lighting bonfires and leaping over them while reciting a traditional chant, symbolizing the burning away of the past year's misfortunes and welcoming in the new year with a fresh start.
