Nowruz, also known as the Afghan New Year, is a significant celebration in Afghanistan. It marks the beginning of spring and is a time of renewal and rebirth. In Afghanistan, Nowruz is celebrated with various traditions and customs, such as preparing the traditional Haft Seen table with seven symbolic items starting with the Persian letter "seen", such as wheat or barley sprouts, apples, vinegar, garlic, sumac, and dried fruit. Families gather to clean their homes, buy new clothes, and visit relatives and friends.
