Promoting diversity and inclusivity in media was one of the things Gulmammadova aimed at doing. She advocated for better opportunities for women, ethnic minorities, and people marginalized by society, both in newsrooms and on air. She wished to have journalism that represented all the views and experiences of people in society. Despite her advocacy work, Gulmammadova has always been involved in writing about diverse social problems: social justice, human rights, culture, art, and entertainment, among others. Curious about each task given to her, she approached them with compassion, hoping that they would provoke thoughts among listeners. Gulmammadova’s most impactful projects were investigative series exposing systemic problems across various sectors of society.
