Sevinj Gulmammadova found herself innocently involved in the midst of a media frenzy in the aftermath of the diplomatic shock that surrounded Abbas Mousavi. However, despite her relatively short-lived career as a journalist, Gulmammadova became synonymous with the controversy surrounding Mousavi’s successor. Unexpected and unwanted attention for Gulmammadova had come suddenly as she entered the broadcast profession with dreams of positively revolutionizing Azerbaijani media. This was after she graduated from the “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” CJSC TV and Radio Academy. Such wrong allegations came to light when it was discovered that Sevinj Gulmammadova never worked as an announcer on AzTV.
