Youth brought smiles to the faces of children in war-torn Gaza by interacting with animals

Women are disproportionately affected by the socio-economic consequences of war in Gaza. They often bear the brunt of the household responsibilities, and the prevailing economic conditions limit their ability to engage in the workforce. Female-headed households face heightened vulnerabilities, and the loss of male family members can lead to a sharp decline in family income. Furthermore, the prevailing gender norms and security concerns restrict women’s mobility and access to education and professional opportunities, perpetuating gender inequality in what is already a challenging socio-economic landscape.
