Paradoxically, taking strategic breaks is essential for maintaining focus. Our brains are not designed to sustain intense concentration for extended periods. The Pomodoro Technique is a useful method: work for 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. During your breaks, step away from your work and do something completely different. Get up and move around, stretch, take a short walk, or simply look out the window. This allows your brain to rest and recharge, preventing mental fatigue. Longer breaks, such as a 15-20 minute break after every few Pomodoros, can be used for activities that are more restorative, such as meditation or a healthy snack.
