It's also important to consider the role of the Iranian diaspora and opposition groups outside Iran. Many of these groups are vehemently opposed to the current Iranian regime and, in some cases, have openly expressed support for actions that could weaken the Islamic Republic. Some Iranian monarchists, for instance, have shown surprising alignment with Israel, viewing it as a potential ally in their fight to reinstate the Pahlavi dynasty. This stance, however, has often alienated them from other segments of the Iranian opposition and civil society activists who, while critical of their own government, also express solidarity with Palestinians and condemn Israeli actions.
