On the iPhone, Apple has introduced a feature called Silence Unknown Callers which is specifically designed to reduce unwanted call interruptions. When this setting is enabled, calls from numbers that are not saved in your contacts, not found in your recent call history, or not suggested by Siri are automatically silenced. Instead of ringing and disturbing you, these calls go straight to voicemail. This allows scammers — who rely on live interactions — to be blocked effectively, while giving you the chance to review important missed messages later.
